For the first time, one of my books speaks a foreign language and leaves Italy!
The little girl behind the mirror, published in Italy in 2014 and already appreciated by hundreds of children, but also grown-ups, is my first novel translated in English and just published.
The English edition was translated by Leanne Young and illustrated by Loredana Redavid, former illustrator of the Italian La bambina dietro allo specchio.
The little girl behind the mirror begins his adventure abroad starting from Austin, Minnesota (USA), where I currently work as a postdoc in a cancer research center. The book is available at Sweet Reads, the bookstore downtown, where it was launched with a presentation for children on January 15, and one for grown-ups on January 18.
The English edition comes in a completely new look compared to the first Italian edition, with an entirely redesigned cover. The cover illustration was chosen through a survey submitted both online to an adult audience and offline to primary school children. The result was unanimous and the cover is simply delicious! Yes, it shouldn’t be me to say that, but it is the work of Loredana Redavid and I think you would agree with me.
